The swimming pool was built in Aberaeron in the 1970's using money raised by local people and businesses. It is registered as a charity, and is run as a 'not-for-profit' organisation. The pool supports a full-time manager along with part-time lifeguards and swimming teachers. We have taught thousands of local children to swim.

For around 50 years hundreds of past and present staff have also been trained in first-aid and water rescue; this has provided a vast benefit to the local residents and holiday makers.
